Executive Artistic Director

Mary Ann Morrow has been involved in the theatre as an actor, director, choreographer, designer, and producer for over thirty years, both in professional and educational settings. A teacher since 1987, she has directed dozens of students in all forms of plays and musicals while also acting at regional theaters in roles ranging from Fannie Brice in Funny Girl to Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd.

In 2001, Mary Ann opened Morrow’s Performing Arts Center, teaching dance, and directing plays and musicals for all ages until she sold the business in 2012. Along with husband Dan Morrow, she opened The Stage Door in 2017 while continuing to teach French for Plano ISD. Happily, she was able to retire from teaching in May 2020!

Unfortunately, after three years of making beautiful memories at The Stage Door, the theatre closed due to the pandemic. She is ecstatic to begin this new company, Moondance Theatre, with her business partner, David Benedict, and with support from her husband, Dan Morrow.
